Voopoo Drag 4 Review
Introduction
VOOPOO is undoubtedly a name that anyone who has been vaping for even a few months has heard of. The Drag brand may be among the most well-known in the vaping business. Anyone may find something in their Drag line of kits, which is always expanding. Options include pods, mods, internal and external battery devices, small, stealthy pods, and even dual battery mods.
The Drag 4 is the newest release from VOOPOO. The Drag 4 is a multifunctional box mod with a maximum output power of 177W that runs on two external 18650 batteries and has an OLED changeable colour changing display screen. It has compatibility for 3A Type-C charging and several modes, including SMART and TC modes.
The Mod
I immediately observed that the VOOPOO Drag 4 was a little bit heavier than its predecessor when I first opened the box. Yet, they are similar in terms of style and appearance, and VOOPOO only made minor adjustments to the Drag 4’s design. The Drag 4 is 52.4 mm broad, 25.4 mm deep, and 87 mm tall. For a dual battery mod, its size is suitable. They have, however, altered the design in a few minor and crucial ways. The main modification is the removal of the device’s bottom spring-loaded battery hinge and replacement with a C-Frame design. The Mod is powered by two external 18650 batteries, which are installed in the battery tray hidden behind the detachable, magnetically secured frame enclosing. To access the batteries, this cover, which is coloured in one of the six available colour schemes, simply peels away from the Drag 4 body.
Build Quality
In addition, there are two small round adjustment buttons, a locking switch, a 1.5″ colour display, and a Type-C connection located around the Voopoo Drag 4’s business end. The buttons resemble those on the Drag 3, although they are deeper indented and chrome instead of matte.
A locking switch is another modification. Through the options menu, you may program this switch to perform a few different tasks of your choice as it glides up or down. By default, sliding it down locks the entire gadget and moving it up unlocks the entire thing. The switch has a pleasing click when it is turned up or down and is nicely firm.
The screen displays a vivid and sharp image with clear and bright colours. The UI on the Drag 3 appears to be more cluttered compared to the clean and spacious UI display on the Drag 4, which is a refreshing improvement.
Features
It comes with VOOPOO’s new GENE.TT 2.0 chipset. It features 4 different power modes:
Smart = Automatically sets power based on the resistance of the coil.
RBA = Full variable wattage (with no limits)
ECO = Battery saving mode
TC = Temperature control supporting Ni200, Ti, SS316, SS430 materials.
The Drag 4 also supports USB-C charging with less charging time thanks to its 5V/3A support.
Operating the device is as simple as the previous Drags with the following:
Power ON/OFF: 5 clicks of the fire button.
Enter Menu: Press the +/- buttons together.
From the menu, you can select Mode, Switch, Puff Reset, About, or Screen Colour.
SWITCH mode: Gives you control over what the QS switch does with the following settings:
Full Lock – Locks all buttons, including the fire button.
Power On/Off – Saves you from hitting the fire button 5 times. Wattage – Locks the +/- adjustment buttons, but the device can still fire.
Conclusion
During this era where pods, additional pods, and pod/mods are prevalent, it has brought delight to have the opportunity to acquire an authentic vape mod like this. It was not only a refreshing deviation, but also among the best Direct Lung vapes I’ve experienced in a considerable amount of time. VOOPOO has made some slight improvements to an already impressive device, resulting in an excellent job done. The build quality of the device is impressive, and the updated C-Frame battery cover is a significant upgrade. The Drag 4 is recommended by me and many others.
